How long have they been a sponsor of RMIT electric racing?
RMIT University have been involved in the Formula SAE competition since its beginnings in Australia in 2000. With its reputation for engineering and the countries first Automotive degree, RMIT Racing has had many years of success. RMIT was also the first in the world to design an electric Formula SAE car in 2008, and was instrumental in promoting the now hugely successful electric FSAE competitions globally.
What do they do for us?
RMIT Electric Racing is based under the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (SECE) in the city campus, however receives incredible support across a range of faculties at RMIT. With use of RMIT’s world class Advanced Manufacturing Precinct, machining facilities, composites workshops and power electronics labs, the team has access to a comprehensive range of facilities required to develop a complete electric vehicle.
